La photographie de Renger-Patzsch probablement la plus connue, intitulée Das Bõumchen, date du printemps 1929 et porte le numéro du négatif L148. Il est donc a supposer que l'image Eifellandschaft portant le numéro L196 fut prise un peu plus tard.
 
La composition des deux photographies est trÞs semblable; Eifellandschaft se distingue pourtant par son graphisme plus contrasté et par sa vue plus plongeante sur le paysage.
