The first official photographer to the royal court of Benin, Nigeria covering the reigns of Oba Akenzua II (1933-78) and Oba Erediauwa (1979-present). For over fifty years he documented the life of the royal family and its private and public activities leaving a legacy of over 3000 photographs.
An exbition of his work was shown at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art (September 17, 2014-September 13, 2015).
