Actually, this is not Newhaven (adjacent to Edinburgh) but rather Fishergate in St Andrews. My personal feeling is that this remarkable image was from the circle of John Adamson and it is unlikely that Hill had anything to do with it. You can chip away at my argument in Hans Kraus‘s Sun Pictures Catalogue Eleven (2002).
