The strong lines formed by the pine trees and ski-tracks dominate the monochrome landscape. This simplicity of form, tone and detail shows the strong influence of Japanese art on Cadby's work. During his early career Cadby concentrated on photographing landscapes and children, latter expanding into adult portraiture.
