Photograph of Napoléon, Prince Imperial of the French. He is standing with his right hand resting on the table beside him and his left hand on his hip. He is wearing the uniform of a military cadet. The photograph is surrounded by watercolour illustrations of soldiers in a forest painted by the military artist Orlando Norie. Napoléon, Prince Imperial of the French trained at the Royal Military Academy in Woolwich. He was killed in 1879 whilst serving in the Anglo-Zulu War.
