Kauffer designed six posters for Britain's General Post Office, including a series of four called
Outposts of Britain, to illustrate that the G.P.O. could reach anywhere in the country, no matter how isolated the destination. For each, Kauffer uses an asymmetrical graphic frame of primarily black and blue into which he integrates black and white photographs. These are the larger format. Kauffer 241,
