Photograph of the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort, Delhi. The fort has high stone walls with ornamental ridging and is surrounded by a moat. The gate, visible behind the wall, is flanked by two octagonal towers each with an octagonal pavilion. There is a smaller octagonal tower with a dome in the foreground to the right and a smaller gateway with a bridge to the left.

This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. Included in the volume are a number of photographs of notable sites in the cities visited by the Prince.
