The Baba Wali Shrine is located on a hill to the south of of the city overlooking the Argandab river, which rises in the central Hindu Kush and joins the Helmand river near the city of Lashkargah. Baba Wali was a muslim saint who lived in Kandahar in the fifteenth century.
