Photograph of a group of eight First Nations Peoples comprising men, women, children and a Chief who stands fourth from the left, facing the viewer. The group are arranged in front of a wooden building with a door on the left.
 
In 1858, the Governor of Lytton named the former Hudson Bay Company of Fort Dallas after Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1803-73), the then Secretary of State for the Colonies.
