Photograph of a group of four female Indigenous Canadians on horseback. Standing second from the left is a fourth man who faces the viewer with his arms folded. On the ground to the right of the centre, is seated a small child. The group are arranged in front of a sign that reads 'To Cache Creek House 2 miles' and includes the services on offer and the name of the proprietor. The rider on the left wears a hat with their face obscured. The two riders on the right wear white bandanas around their heads. In the background is a hill with scree covered slopes.

Cache Creek was a point along the Cariboo Wagon Road and provided an opportunity to take on refreshments and supplies. The name derives from the 'caches' or hidden stocks of furs that were kept in the area by rival trading companies.
