Description: Portrait of Nacheninga [No Heart of Fear], Iowa. Nacheninga holds a gun in his hands and is wrapped in a thick blanket. At the top edge of the daguerreotype the words "Na-che-ninga, a Chief of the Iowa's" is inscribed. To the left of the portrait is inscribed "The Rifle was presented to the Chief of the Chippeway's by King William the fourth of England during his sojourn in America." To the right of the portrait, "The barrel is made of Gold, Silver, and Platina, and carries an ounce ball with accuracy a distance of one mile" is inscribed. In the bottom-left corner the words "T.M. Easterly, Daguerrean, St. Louis, Mo." are inscribed.
