The Mineral Gallery In The British Museum

Lovell Reeve published the most important Stereoscopic Magazine between 1858 and 1865. The views illustrated were actual stereoviews (not printed images) each individual image being glued into each copy. Some are attributed on our versions but we have also used the attributions listed on the University of Sydney list compiled in 2002 from the version in the British Library. The University website states that 'the photographer is only given where he is explicitly acknowledged' so we can be confident of all our attributions.

This is a Roger Fenton view titled The Mineral Gallery In The British Museum which appeared in Stereoscopic Magazine No 25 of July, 1860. Our view is not marked as being by Fenton but the British Library/University of Sydney one is.
