With numerous, partially full-page illustrations of photographs by Max Prekhner, Alexander Rodchenko, Arkady Shaikhet and Ivan Shagin, 1 double-page map in gold, numerous tipped in color plates and supplements. 35 x 30,5 cm. Original light green cloth on heavy rounded boards with red tooling on spine, red pressed title on front cover and red and white pressed vignette with a fight scene on horseback.
 
The "First Cavalry" presented in an opulent photo album designed by the artists Alexander Michailowitsch Rodchenko (1891-1956) and Warwara Fjodorowna Stepanowa (1894-1958). With numerous carefully printed maps, portraits, battle scenes and reproductions of paintings in deep black and gold, and much more.
