In the background, partially obscured by shadow, are two arches enclosed within a larger ogival arch.

The cloisters were built during the early 13th century and the cathedral as a whole was built on the site of a former Mosque during the 12th century. The cloisters occupy a site on the north east side of the Cathedral and include a central courtyard where there is a central fountain.
