The Cripple Boy
 
It’s all of you should thankful be,
That have good legs and feet;
I never will or cannot walk,
Nor in a race complete.
 
I will do everything I can,
An honest living make,
To sell my photograph and card,
Whoever will it take.
 
My father is away and gone,
My mother yet is here,
I have a little sister too;
I will not want for care.
 
So if you help a poor lame boy,
God will reward all such,
That in this world you’ll happy be,
And make you very rich.
