Cabinet card Private collection of Steve DeGenaro Suffragette Henrietta Briggs-Wall (1849-1930) created this visual indictment of the American political system in 1893. By comparing herself with the mentally disabled, criminals, Native Americans and the insane it was clear that votes for women and their equality with men was long overdue.
