Curatorial description (Accessed: 29 March 2016)
Here Lady Hawarden shows photography taking place beside her Irish home, at Dundrum House in County Tipperary. A camera on a tripod points away from the house. A dark cloth is draped across the tripod. A printing frame rests against one of the tripod's legs. A fellow photographer stands beside the apparatus, looking towards Hawarden's camera. The photograph captures the special fellowship that flourished among the earliest generations of amateur (and professional) photographers.
