One of a set of photographs commissioned by Rossetti of Morris's wife Jane. She was the model for many of his later paintings including 'La Donna Della Finestra' [The Lady of Pity] and 'The Boat of Love', unfinished canvases in the Birmingham collection (1885P2465 and 1885P2476).
