Vertical, black and white photograph. One view of the portrait of a man wearing a suit, the face of the man colored pink. The photograph is encased in a bronze- and gold-colored metal preserver frame and mat decorated and engraved with floral and plantlike designs. A piece of cloth tied to a metal ring is hanging on the back. The back of the photograph depicts the following description in cursive: "[Illegible] [Illegible - Ciminah? Cimrnah? Amrinah? Criminals?] Oldest Picture John Ross Oct 3 [illegible] 1857 Thief."
