Photograph of the Golden Hall of the Tsarina in the Grand Kremlin Palace. The room has a vaulted ceiling supported by horizontal metal bars. The walls are decorated with paintings depicting scenes from Christian history. Chairs are spaced at intervals around the edge of the room. The Kremlin is a fortified complex of palaces and cathedrals in Moscow. The Grand Kremlin Palace is the largest building in the Kremlin and was built between 1837 and 1849. This part of the building dates from the fifteenth century and was incorporated into the new palace.
