Crain Heberton (Facebook, 16 November 2015) noted: " It is presumed they were made to be sold to out-of-town visitors attending the November 19, 1863 Soldiers' Cemetery dedication. Whether the views were passed off as real death scenes or staged scenes, isn't known."
