Photograph of Corporal Wilkin and Sapper Hutton of the Royal Engineers with a cart in Cairo during the Anglo-Egyptian War. Hutton is standing to the right holding the horse's reins. Wilkin is standing to the left by the wheel of the cart. Both are wearing military uniform and carrying a rifle. The cart is marked '17TH COY R.E'. Two men are standing on the veranda of the building behind. Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882 repressed the nationalist 'Urabi Revolt and led to increased British control of Egypt.
