Photograph showing topographical view of the British Army camp in Ali Masjid, now Pakistan, filled with many tents and huts, animals and people. Large hills to the left and behind. The Second Afghan War (1878-80) took place in this area. John Burke was an unofficial photographer who was travelling with the Peshawar Valley Field Force, during that time.
