Titled, "On Picturesque B.&O." below image with inscriptions in the negative reading, "74 Harpers Ferry from Bolivar Heights / W.H. Jackson & Co. Denver." Produced as part of a series of photographs taken by William Henry Jackson (1843-1942) for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, 1890-1892. From his vantage point atop Bolivar Heights, Jackson captured the storied site of the United States Armory, which changed hands several times during the Civil War.
