View showing the iron works complex of the heavy machinery manufactory established by Levis, Joseph, and Isaac Paschall Morris in 1828. In 1846 the company expanded and relocated to the site in Port Richmond along the Delaware River. Complex included a foundry, a machinery shop, a smithery, and a boiler shop.

Graff, was an amateur Philadelphia photographer, engineer, and superintendent of the Fairmount Waterworks. In the 1850s, I.P. Morris & Co. constructed a pumping engine for the waterworks after Graff's designs.
