Private collection of Pam Ferrazzutti The elaborate stand and covers were made for the Victorian British Raj market at one of the Bombay province's workshops. The materials used were Ebony, Ivory, Sandalwood and for the tiny Sadeli micro mosaics Tin, Silver & Wood. The stand features a finely carved tableau of flowers, birds and mythical beasts surrounding a central elephant decked out in fancy parade gear. The album's hinged & gild decorated pages are of European manufacture. The London retailer's name can be found in tiny letters under the "A" of "Album" on the illuminated inside front cover page.
The 19 pages will display 4 CDVs each for a total of 76.
