Label of Lajos Kawalky daguerreotypist from the early 1840-s, Budapest. The label is bilingual left side is Hungarian, right side is German. The name of the occupation in the Hungarian version is poetic: "shadow- and light painter…"
 
The same label is on the reverse of "Portrait of an officer seated, wearing light coat and blue trousers, holding water bottle (?), a sabre clipped to his belt.", Umeleckoprumyslové museum, Praha, Czech Republic, Daguerreobase, Daguerreotype: GF-29774
