Chamberlain's Gallery (Paducah, KY.)
1861 (or later)
Backmark for Chamberlain's Gallery, Cor. Market Strret and Broadway, Paducah, KY.

Carte de visite, back
Provided by the artist - Philip Katcher
The date is based on the following comments by Phillip Katcher (Facebook, "The Daguerreian Society", 12 October 2015)

There wasn't any fighting in Kentucky until January 1862, so it would have to be after that. The state was declared neutral until the Confederates made the mistake of invading it.

Grant was the commander of the first Union troops into the state, occupying Paducah, where these hospitals were, on 6 September 1861. These could date as early as shortly thereafter.
