A photojournalist. He was the recipient of two Pulitzer Prizes as a staff photographer for the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, CO, His first came in 2003 as a member of the staff that won the award for breaking news for its coverage of wildfires in Colorado. Then, in 2006 he was awarded the prize for feature photography for his photographs that illustrated the feature "Final Salute". He is now a staff photographer at The New York Times.
