He started out studying health science and biology at the ‘Nederlandse Leraren Opleiding‘ in Delft (Netherlands) but after a period at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco (USA) he found his vocation in taking floral photography. His black and white photographs of flowers are moody and reserved - these are the emotional portraits of flowers as opposed to the cold scientific representations of Karl Blossfeldt.
