Film director, photographer and installation artist. Studied art and photography at the New School for Social Research in New York City and opened his own studio in the 1970s. Lived in Paris and Hamburg before returning to the USA in the late 1980s. His series "The Absence of Subject" is an exploration of the photographs of August Sander without the people.
