Italian photographer who lived in Russia for most of his live. In the 1860s and 1870s he documented St. Petersburg. He photographed the exteriors and interiors of the magnificent Mariinsky (6 St Isaac's Square), Stroganov (17 Nevsky avenue) and Sheremetev ( 34, Naberezhnaya Reki Fontanki) palaces of St. Petersburg) and the mansions of Stroganov, Paskevich (Gomel) and Baron Stiglitz.
