A self-taught photographer who documented the day to day life of the Tlingit people of the Yukon with his Brownie box camera in early 20th century. He brought a 1928 AB Chevrolet car before there were roads in the Teslin area. He painted his car white to hunt in the winter and then painted it dark again for the summer.
