Born: 1954 - New Zealand, Taranaki, Inglewood Died: Gender: Female Active: New Zealand
New Zealand photographer who has continually sought to include photography of the socially marginalized with a tradition of social commentary. At times her work has been seen as highly provocative and some of her photographs of transvestites created an outcry when they were included in the New Zealand‘s first major photographic survey - The Active Eye (1975). She has dealt with the themes of AIDs and HIV, environmental and gender issues.
