Ran a business in Asmara, Eritrea that was listed in the register of companies in 1931 as a photographic studio that traded in photographic articles. This was in the 1930s during the Italian Fascist colonization. He took a series entitled "Black Venus" (Venere nera) showing posed portraits of Eritrean women that were reproduced as postcards. These postcards were popular with the Italian troops and were distributed in Italy. Another series entitled "Peasant work" (Lavoro contadino) from 1932-1934 showed daily life in Asmara and its surroundings.
