Jean Prod'hom was born in Switzerland at La Chaux de Fonds and moved to Algiers having addresses at 12, Rue Caraman, and later 12, Damremont "Photographie Suisse". He was one of the finest photographers in Algeria with many fine portraits. Other members of the family were involved in photography including Jean's wife Camille Prod'hom and their son Adolphe. Some of their CDVs are signed with a dry stamp and others have their details printed on the reverse.
