Care needs to be taken with Guilloz-Saguez as earlier works on photo-history assume this is a single person - a French physican and photographer. More recent research by a French student indicates that they may be the husband and wife couple of Jaques-Michel Guillot and Amelie Saguez. She was the photographer and he was the chemist.
Guilloz-Seguez didn't use a first bath of the iodized paper (soaked of iodure of potassium) with the silver nitrate but rather dipped the paper in an unique solution of iodure of potassium and silver vinegar-nitrate as soon as possible before exposing it in the camera; in such way it created some rising silver iodate to contact with an excess of silver nitrate acidified that it was much more sensitive to the light.
