Although not altogether novel, this simple plan of Mr. Coolidge for producing photographic caricatures is well worth noting. We see that tbe idea is announced as patented in the United States, but we are not aware that any steps have been taken to protect it in (his country. Mr. Walzl, of Baltimore, announces a selection of humorous backgrounds suitable for these caricature portraits, and no doubt, if any demand arose for them in this country, they would soon be forthcoming. Indeed, with this hint before them, many professional and amateur photographers could make some suitable sketches for themselves.
