Lorimer was a New York-based AIDS researcher and co-author (with Deborah Bull and Anne Horton) of the photobook Up the Nile: A Photographic Excursion 1839-1898. An avid photographic enthusiast who, according to friends "always walked around with a camera," this lot demonstrates his creative exploration of the medium.
