Montage adverisement for R. Goebel

Photomontage
Capitol Gallery
Courtesy of Capitol Gallery (Spring 2008 Auction)

We see portraits, group shots,(one with a large flag in the background), a dog, a waterfall, a bridge with carriages crossing what is likely the Mississippi River with a wonderful shoreline of a city seen in the background, a steamboat, and the inside of a rail car which appears to be fully prepared for an evening of dining. Another photo shows a montage of a bearded gentleman surrounded by railroad cars, which includes another copy of the previously mentioned interior shot. On the bottom right is an advertisement which reads RE. Goebel, The Old Photographer Reliable. The back has a label in German which states that the photographer's studio was established in 1856, along with a list of 10 other items.
