This is the Van Alstyne Homestead. A full history is given in Collier's "A History of Old Kinderhook," 1914, photocopy enclosed. Kinderhook is south of Albany.
A super ยข plate is a look down a dirt road with stone fence at left, wooden fence at right. 2 horses advance towards us. In the field at right someone is plowing. The barns are in back, the house at right.
