The "Rain Song" series won the main prize in 1963 in both black-and-white and color photography, in the "Great Friendship" competition. Both prizes were for further trips to Russia, so Marie Sechtlova was able to take more pictures abroad, which was highly unusual for a Czech photographer in the 1960s.
