This + plate is sealed, with an additional card backing. It's a straightforward portrait of a woman. The case is what's more interesting. It's a hinged case with a painted scene, and a mother of pearl formation to represent a castle or riverside town. It looks like something had been applied to the mother of pearl insets to represent windows and other features of the castle. Remnants of this still remain. This is not a previously noted motif. According to Paul Berg, in correspondence, these types of cases were individually made, so each one is unique.
