A Man from Central Borneo [Possibly a Cannibal]

The first daguerreotype or photograph taken in Borneo, c.1845. Itier also took the first photographs in China and some of the first in the Middle East. This image, a portrait of a young man from the central part of the island is published and documented and comes from the noted collector G. Gimon and bears his stamp.
