View of the southwest corner of Sixth and Chestnut Streets showing the newly constructed offices of the Philadelphia newspaper the Public Ledger (designed by Philadelphia architect John McArthur, built 1866-67). Includes the statue of Benjamin Franklin that adorns the corner of the Ledger building. View looks west from 6th Street showing the south side of Chestnut Street between 6th and 7th Streets.
