Views among the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, W.H. Jackson, Photographer. In 1870 Jackson accompanied geologist Ferdinand Vandiveer Hayden on an expedition across Wyoming, along the Green River, and eventually into the Yellowstone Lake area.
