Our Firend Root continues to be overrun with visitors at his beautiful gallery, 140 Chesnut street. He has the same success, we learn at his establishment in New York. Root's daguerreotypes are famed the world over. We hear of them in London, Paris, Vienna, St. Petersburgh, and other prominent points in Europe. He owns the vignette crayon light for the greater part of the United States. The thousand of daguerreotypists in the United States, who are constantly sending forth wretched apologies for pictures, would do well to put themselves for a few months under the instruction of Root.
