Hill & Adamson
n.d.
Five(?) girls; sitting in a row, possibly on upturned boat hull

Waxed paper negative, positive version
University of Glasgow, Library
Hill & Adamson Collection, GUL Number: HA0770

The nearby fishing village of Newhaven provided ample subject matter for Hill & Adamson. Their un-published volume on this series has recently been brilliantly re-created by Stevenson. Even though they are sitting and confined in a space, the children found the long exposure time here daunting. Still, it conveys a sense of real life. This negative is waxed and is inscribed in pencil "u.72" and "D" and (either "Sun" or "Gum").
