faded tulips from the garden, in the morning sun in the kitchen window at the original Artists' Loft B&B in Julian, where we had our studio… and so on. I have a new, "almost ready" series of faded tulips in the works, inspired probably by this one image … I can't ignore a fading tulip… they go through such wonderful changes and actions, they just cry to be photographed … separations directly from the negative to Oriental Panchro RC, inked and transferred to Lanaquarrell rough watercolor paper.
