Film frame This work is out of copyright The micrometer which is stolen costs 25 rubles (three weeks' work in Tzarist Russia of 1903 when the strike is set. The worker reports the theft and is accused of being a thief and hangs himself because of the shame. The hanging is another worker injustice provoking the strike.
